Grand Café Bonn & Mees (Rotterdam - The Netherlands)

The former pop music centre ‘Het Berenei’ in Rotterdam-South has been converted into Grand Café Bonn & Mees, a new entertainment venue with a restaurant and a club section. It was important to prevent noise nuisance from the club section in the surrounding area. Another requirement was that while guests should not be able to enter the building other than via the official entrance, they should of course be able to leave the building quickly in the event of an emergency.

Merford supplied and installed sound-insulating doors with anti-burglary features (resistance class 3), fitted with anti-panic locks in escape routes. In this way, Merford supplied a single door type that met all three safety requirements.
